Teaching Middle School is an Adventure, not a job. -Angela K. Bennett
About MeAfter receiving my teaching credential at Dominican University, I got my first teaching job at Sinaloa Middle School, and I’ve been there ever since! I love what I do, and I’m always trying to find new and exciting activities to bring to the classroom.
I'm entering my 18th year of my teaching career, and I love what I do! I also serve as a district tech mentor and as a board member for North Bay CUE (Computer Using Educators). I have presented at several EdTech conferences. My presentations have included these topics: green screen in classroom, using creative commons for student projects, and favorite edtech tools. I am a certified Google Educator and currently working towards a Google Trainer certificate. |
About our City |
Sinaloa Middle School is located in Novato, California which is north of San Francisco. It is a charming town with a small downtown area and lots of parks. Novato’s city hall is memorable and old-fashioned. Only 50,000 people (approximately) live in Novato. Our town is surrounded by sloping hills and mountains.

About Our SchoolAbout Our Class |
Sinaloa Middle School has about 800 -1000 students in grades 6-8. We have nine 6th grade teachers in our department. Our 6th grade is different than other middle schools because students stay with their homeroom teacher for Language Arts, PE, Earth Science, and History. Students go to other classes and teachers during the other two periods. Unless they are some of the lucky ones who also have me as their technology teacher.
